Getting ready for an English end-of-course exam? Practice will help you to feel confident in your English skills. It’s no secret that the more you practice, the better you’ll get.

To get started, work through one passage and answers the questions. Check your answers. If you missed any, determine why another answer was better. Learn from your mistakes.

Take advantage of the practice examples Ms. Mayfield of West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, NC, posts on her English II website. Great resource!

Scroll down and you’ll find lots of English II EOC links on Mr. Davis’s posting. Thank you to Mr. Davis, who is an English teacher at Athens Drive Magnet High School in Raleigh! He included literary terms, too.

Work through the poetry selections on the Virginia EOC (42 questions with answers).
